Mark Fudemberg has a liberal arts degree in English and Master's in Education. He has been a high school English teacher for 30 years. For the first 25 years, Mark taught literature, writing, and Advanced Placement Language at a college prep high school in his hometown. Mark arrived in China in 2012. He has taught TOEFL, IELTS, and literature. Mark teaches imaginative and critical reading using Socratic seminars and literature circles. Mark is the proud father of a 23-year-old daughter.

Nathaniel Westfall is a research chemist, with focus in abnormal psychology, viral biochemistry, and catalytic chemistry. He has taught chemistry and psychology at the university level for four years, general science at the middle school level for one year, and led research teams. Nate has a Master of Chemistry degree, as well as degrees in abnormal/forensic psychology, Latin, and biochemistry/metallo-organic chemistry. He has been in China for almost two years, the first year of which he worked in a biotechnologies company in Beijing. Nate is currently teaching psychology and biology for Livermore High School. Nate brings the western style of scientific enquiry, free and critical thinking, and problem solving with hands on experimental approaches to science. Michael graduated from the University of Queensland with a Bachelors of Land Surveying and graduated with a Grad. Cert. of Education from the University of Tasmania. Michael taught Surveying, Civil Engineering subjects and trade related subjects for 2 years at Burnie TAFE (Australian Poly-Technic College) before moving to South Korea to teach for 10 years at several International Schools, Universities and language institutes. Michael has also taught IELTS in Vietnam for a year. Michael has taught IB Mathematics, AP Calculus, AP Statistics and Cambridge AS Ph ysics, in China over a 5 year period. Michael has had a childhood fascination with electronics which was encouraged greatly during his middle school years, as he belonged to a HAM radio club. This fascination with the Mathematical side of Physics taught him how discovery learning can be a real delight. It is his belief that, this skill of looking for patterns and the seeking out of the reasons for these patterns, is the major driving force of new scientific and technological advances. It is his hope that these skills will not only be implanted into his students, but they will value these skills and make use of them throughout their lives.

Sam served 6 years in the United States Navy upon graduation from High School. Once his service was complete, Sam attended Western Oregon University where he attained first a Bachelor's and then a Master's degree in history. Once he graduated, Sam began teaching college history where he developed a curriculum which focuses on critical inquiry to foster critical thinking and free discussion in the classroom. Sam is a great believer in the Socratic belief that all humans can better themselves through education, this has led to his endeavor to continually learn as well as encourage continual learning in his teaching. Sam has consulted at several Chinese university English programs and now teaches History at Livermore International High School.
